Punjabi poetry book ‘Samarpan’ released

Patiala, August 13

A Punjabi poetry book, Samarpan, written by Satnam Chauhan was released here today at the Punjab Languages Department by the Punjabi Sahit Sabha in Patiala.

As many as 125 writers from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and other parts of the Northern region participated in the event. President of sabha and Sahitya Academi awardee Darshan Singh Aasht said, “Satnam’s poetry gives positive messages. A collection of writers, who are the member of Punjabi Sahit Sabha of Patiala, will be published soon.”

 Poetess Satnam Chauhan recited some poems and lauded the efforts of the writer. Some other writers were also honoured in this literary function. Prof Subhash Sharma, Dr Gurbachan Singh Rahi and Ujagar Singh also expressed their views on the occasion.

Director of the department Gursharan Kaur, poetess Pal Kaur Ambala, novelist Jasbir Mand, Babu Singh Rehl, Devinder Patialvi and Jugraj Singh along with other personalities were present during the event.
