Pushpvir, Deepti top city with 96.8%

Bringing laurels to their schools, Deepti Singla of DAV Public School and Pushpvir Singh of Budha Dal Public School topped Patiala in the CBSE Class XII examination, the results of which were declared on Saturday. 

Sharing the first position, both commerce students Deepti Singla and Pushpvir Singh scored 96.8 per cent marks.

In the stream-wise results, Parneet Kaur Sehgal of Budha Dal Public School topped humanities with 95.6 and Tavnoor Kaur of Akal Academy, Reeth Kheri, topped medical stream with 96.6 per cent. In non-medical stream, Robinpreet Singh of Akal Academy, Reeth Kheri, secured the top position with 96.6 per cent.

Patiala topper Deepti Singla, when asked about her career choices, said she wanted to be a chartered accountant and had already started preparing for the same. She said the support of her teachers and parents helped her achieve the desired results.

While Pushpvir said: “The funda that worked for me was that I didn’t follow any time schedule. I prepared for the exams topic wise. Also, I never went for any tuition as my school teachers helped me a lot in my studies.  In future, I want to become a fashion designer.”
