Chandigarh, August 31

The Panjab University Students Union (PUSU) stitched an alliance with Nishant Kaushal’s faction of the Himachal Pradesh Students Union (HPSU).

The PUSU had last won the post of president in 2016.

PUSU, HPSU Candidates

President: Ravinder Bir Singh Randhawa (24), Dr Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital. He hails from Batala (Punjab) and is PUSU candidate.

“The quality of education needs to be improved. We need to work on our placements. Research scholars should get single rooms. The south campus will remain our focus,” he said.

Secretary: Ankush Monga (21), UICET. He hails from Mandi Dabwali, Sirsa (Haryana) and is PUSU candidate.

Joint Secretary: Rohit Singh Rana (21), Geology. He hails from Una and is a

HPSU candidate.
