Ranveer wins gold

Chandigarh, April 29

Haryana golfer Ranveer Singh Saini has triumphed at the Macau Special Olympics Golf Masters title, winning his fifth gold medal in six appearances at the tournament.

Two other Indians in the fray — Ankush Saha and Kushagra Gaur — won 

a silver and a bronze medal, respectively, in their divisions.

The field had 45 golfers from countries like India, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, South Korea, Hong Kong, USA and the United Kingdom. 

The 18-year-old Gurugram golfer had won a silver medal at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi last month.

Saini, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of two, is also a recipient of the Bhim Award, the highest state sports award of Haryana.
