Chandigarh: Several members of the Bhagat Ravidas Sabha, Sarangpur, left the BJP and joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) under the leadership of Sohan Singh here on Saturday. They assured their support to AAP candidate Harmohan Dhawan.
Bikram Dhawan welcomed them into the party fold and thanked them for their decision. They assured Bikram Dhawan that they would start door-to-door campaign in every village of Chandigarh. They would ask every youth to support the AAP as MPKirron Kher had failed to fulfil the promises for the development of villages.
They were unhappy by the unwanted things happening in the BJP nowadays. So, they all decided to support Dhawan, who always stood for the interests of the people.
In the evening, Gaurav Gupta and his supporters from Burail village joined the Aam Aadmi Party and said goodbye to the Congress. Bikram thanked them also for supporting the AAP candidate. — TNS
