The Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions (RBGI) has decided to upgrade the facilities available to the students pursuing various courses in the university.
The upgrade may include increasing the number of computer labs, international-level sports and recreational facilities, and air-conditioned hostels.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, disclosed this while addressing an assembly of students who had organised a cultural programme on the New Year’s Eve here Monday.
Elaborating on projects planned for 2019, Bahra said these included an indoor sports stadium and an air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,200. He said new projects were a part of the management plan to develop a vibrant campus life offering ultra-modern infrastructure to its students.
The RBGI Chairman said the Rayat Bahra University had introduced a large number of new-age courses in collaboration with top multinational companies to increase the employment potential of the students. “The university, one of the best in the country, offers attractive scholarship schemes, has the highest placement record and ultra-modern facilities available for its students,” he added.
Earlier, students presented a cultural programme which was a big hit with the audience. The cultural programme was inaugurated by Dr Daljit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, who lauded the initiative of students in organising the programme.
