Mohali, May 15
Rayat-Bahra University today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Northampton, UK, with a view to establishing academic cooperation and achievement of common goals.
The MoU was signed In the presence of Gurvinder Singh Bahra, chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions and chancellor of Rayat Bahra University; Dr Raj Singh, vice-chancellor, Rayat Bahra University; Sandeep Kaura, joint managing director of the university; Puneet Malhotra, regional director-South Asia, University of Northampton; and Matthew Haines, director, International Affairs, University of Northampton.
As per the MoU, it was jointly agreed to promote activities such as exchange of teaching and research personnel, student exchange programmess, development in research activities and exploration of collaboration at various levels and activities of mutual interest.
Bahra said the aim was to enhance international goodwill and understanding and to further contribute to the achievement of goals and objectives of both universities.
He said as higher education institutions with complementary missions, both universities share interests and objectives in student exchange and joint programme development matters. TNS
