Chandigarh, November 16

Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Raj Kumar on Friday inaugurated the Swami Vivekananda reading hall of Boys’ Hostel No. 7.

The hall is fully air conditioned with Wi-Fi facility, CCTV cameras and sound proof with the seating capacity of 70.

Kumar also released a T-shirt designed by the hostel residents from their own funds, said Dinesh Kumar, warden of the hostel. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
