Red Cross Day was celebrated at St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh. World Red Cross Day and Red Crescent Day is an annual celebration of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The humanitarian organisation provides shelter and help to families and communities who try to get back on their feet after any disaster. Students were imparted information on this special day and the reason why it is celebrated worldwide. The students participated in a quiz pertaining to the Red Cross Society with special emphasis on the branches in India and the contributions of Indians during emergency of any kind.
AKSIPS-125 Smart School
Red Cross Day was celebrated at AKSIPS-125 Smart School. The students were told of the importance of the day by a power point presentation. A demo session was conducted to tell the use of first-aid kit in the time of emergency.
Mother’s Day celebrated
To celebrate Mother's Day, staff and students of kindergarten wing of DC Montessori Senior Secondary School, Manimajra, assembled together and expressed their love and gratitude towards mothers. The day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm, to appreciate and honour the mothers, a fun-filled programme was organised on the school premises. An appreciable number of moms came forward to participate and showed their talent in various competitions and fun-filled activities. Investiture held at school
Patiala: Career Academy School, Patiala, conducted its investiture ceremony on the premises of the school. Members of the new student council were given badges by Principal Punam Dhiman. Navdeep Kaur and Ravneet Singh, both from Class X, were announced as Head Girl and Head Boy, respectively. Director KK Bhatia congratulated the new council.
Mother’s Day celebrated
Ryan International School, Patiala, organised a card-making activity to celebrate Mothers' Day. Students made beautiful cards to show their respect and express their gratitude towards their mothers. The children put up a great show expressing their unconditional love for their mothers on this occasion and enjoyed the day.
World No-Tobacco Day
World No-Tobacco Day was observed at Meritorious School, Patiala. Dr Anjana Gupta, SMO Kohli, made students aware about the bad effects of tobacco and how it endangers human kind. A poster-making competition on the theme of 'No Tobacco' was also conducted. OC
