As many as 16 well known poets read out their choicest verses on socio-cultural, political, administration, environment, romance complexities of human relationships and other themes at a largely attended trilingual mushaira veritably titled ‘Rim Jhim’ organised by the Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi at Government Museum and Art Gallery hall here on Saturday.
While some of the poets displayed stray brilliance in their poems, spells of verses with intellectual depth came from Dr Manmohan Singh, Dr Chander Trikha who presided over besides Ritu Bhanot, Sultan Anjum, Dr Vibha Ray and SS Toor. Ashq Amritsari, Amarjit Amar, Siri Ram Arsh, Col Jasbir Bhullar, Suendra Bansal and Anita Surbhi, while Manjit Indra was melodious, Lily Swaran excelled in ‘Andz-e byan’.
CSA Chairman and eminent poet Madhav Kaushik conducted the function with literary acumen.
