RLA starts online appointment system

The Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) has started the online appointment system today for the registration of vehicles and issuance of driving licence in the main office of the RLA in Sector 17, Chandigarh.

An officer of the Administration said the online appointment system had been made with the view to saving the time of residents. The residents will have to follow certain steps for the enrollment of online appointment. The applicant has to login to the official website i.e. www.chdtransport.gov.in for getting an appointment and thereafter he/she will have to fill the information, name, gender, mobile number and appointment type. On submitting the above stated details, the applicant will receive an one-time password on his/her registered mobile number.

On entering the OTP, the page for selection of date and time for appointment will be opened. The applicant has to select the date and time slot for the submission of his/her file at the RLA. The applicant will visit the office of RLA for the submission of file along with the confirmation of appointment. The applicant will be attended on the online appointment counter after confirmation of the online appointment. An officer said the enrolment will be valid for the date of appointment only. The applicant can enroll for the appointment to himself/herself only.The applicant will have to enroll for a fresh appointment, if due to any reason the applicant has not not be able to get the process completed with regards the to submission of file or documents.
