Chandigarh: Children’s Day was celebrated at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School here with fervour on Wednesday. The theme of the day was “With Love – From teachers to students”. A colourful vista of activities, including a spectacular fashion show, scintillating dance performances and witty Qawwali, presented by teachers of the junior wing enthralled tiny tots. A special assembly was arranged by senior wing teachers to express their love and appreciation for  students. Mellifluous songs and self-composed verses presented by teachers received a loud applause from students on the occasion. TNS

St Xavier’s  School

Chandigarh:  Children’s Day was celebrated at St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School with fervour. A special morning assembly was conducted by teachers. A veteran teacher dressed as Jawahar Lal Nehru addressed students and told them about importance of the day. A medley of songs presented by teachers was enjoyed by students. Chandigarh: Students of Shishu Niketan Model Senior Seconday School, Sector 22, celebrated Children’s Day with enthusiasm on Wednesday. The entire school was decorated tastefully to welcome children. Chandigarh: Students of Delhi Public School celebrated the Children’s Day with childhood spirit. The entire school spent the day soaked in fun and frolic. Teachers arranged a mega mashup of games, sports events, jam sessions, dance hours, pool lunches, and outdoor photo-shoot. Chandigarh: Children’s Day was celebrated at ‘Petals’, the primary wing of PML SD Public School, here on Wednesday. Students of pre-primary classes went for excursion to Japanese Park. They participated in various games and activities. Students of Classes I to V took part in drawing and colouring competition. Later, they were shown inspirational short movies, which added to their jovial mood. Principal Monica Sharma handed over prizes to the winners of drawing and colouring competition. Panchkula: A special assembly was organised to celebrate Children’s Day at Satluj Public School here on Wednesday. The assembly started with a group dance by students in colourful dresses followed by skit, speeches and plays. Many activities were also organised on the occasion. Director Principal Krit Serai along with 33 Satlujians received awards from Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kanwar Pal, MP Rattan Lal Kataria and Panchkula MLA Gian Chand Gupta for meritorious services. Panchkula: Bhavanites celebrated Children’s Day with a plethora of activities. Students were welcomed with bubbles and balloons in the morning. Their teachers sang songs and enacted skits for them. The complete school was engaged in group dancing, tug-of-war, creative work and tambola. A few classes also saw movies ‘Dhanak’ and ‘Hitchki’. Zirakpur: Children’s Day was celebrated at Manav Mangal Smart World School here on Wenesday. Many activities were organised on the school premises to make students realise importance of the day. A special assembly was held to pay tributes to Pt Jawaharlal Nehru. Students of pre-nursery to Class VI enjoyed the magic show. Students also got a chance to experience fireless cooking. Mohali: Under the Atal Innovative Mission of Government’s Niti Aayog, Learning Paths School has set up Atal Tinkering Lab on its premises. The school also hosted Tinkerathon Fest for students.  The chief guest on the occasion District Education Officer, PSEB, Mohali, Himmat Singh,  gave away the ATL Student-Preneur 2018 award to Ahaana Singla and Harshpreet Singh, both Class IX students, in recognition of their active participation and school representation in STEM projects at the national level. BSF Campus

Lakhnour: A number of sports activities marked the Children’s Day celebrations at the Border Security Force (BSF) campus here on Wednesday. A sack race, lemon spoon race, three-leg race, 50 metre sprint and tug-of-war were among events organised for children. Speaking on the occasion,  Additional Director General, BSF, Kamal Nayan Choubey, stressed on the overall development of  children and highlighted the importance of sports activities in their holistic growth. Kharar: Children’s Day was celebrated at APJ Smart School here on Wednesday.  Students of nursery to Class XII paid tributes to Chacha Nehru. Children’s Day celebrations  

Patiala: Children’s Day was celebrated at St Xavier’s International School, Patiala, with enthusiasm. Celebrations began with a prayer service conducted by teachers of preparatory wing. It was followed by a colorful fancy-dress competition, in which students from Nursery to Class II participated. Students came to the school in colorful dresses. A colourful dance on the song, “Chota bacha jaan ke”, was presented by teachers of the primary wing. An interesting skit on the importance of education was staged by students of Classes IX and X.

Modern Sen Sec School 

Modern Senior Secondary School, Patiala, organised an on-the-spot painting competition on Wednesday to celebrate Children’s Day. The competition was held in an open space and the theme for it was, “Punjab”. Around 500 students from other schools took part in it .

Scholar Fields Public

Students of Scholar Fields Public School celebrated Children’s Day with enthusiasm in the special morning assembly. A special party was arranged for students. School principal Chandandeep Kaur motivated the students to follow the right path in their life. TNS
