SAD set for ‘pol khol’ rally today

Senior leadership of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is all set to make its ‘pol khol’ rally in Samana a success tomorrow. The district leadership, led by party’s senior leader Surjit Singh Rakhra, has held meetings in almost all parts of the districts and urged its volunteers to attend the rally. They have even deputed their local leaders for ferrying party workers to Samana and a gathering of more than 25,000 workers is expected.
In a series of pol khol rallies, this rally would be held at the Samana Grain Mandi and local leaders have hired private buses to ensure that maximum workers reach the rally. They have asked the city and village residents to gather at common points from where the buses would be taken for rally.
Rakhra said: “The aim of the rally was to throw light on various issues which have become a cause of concern for Punjab residents.”
District President (Urban) Harpal Juneja said Captain Amarinder Singh has completely ignored the interests of all residents.
