Sanawar Montessori School, Sector 11-B, Chandigarh, has been ranked city’s third pre-school in the EducationWorld India Pre-school Rankings 2018-19. For the past eight years, EducationWorld has been publishing the annual EW India Pre-school Rankings with C-fore-the Delhi based market research and opinion polls agency.

Ankur School

Ankur School, Chandigarh, organised its three-day annual function at PU’s Law Auditorium. District Education Officer Anujit Kaur was the chief guest. Students presented drama, poetry and dance. Principal Parminder Duggal was also present on the occasion.

Holy Child

Students of Holy Child School, Panchkula, organised its annual sports day. Students participated in various track and field events and fun games with enthusiasm. They presented various dance forms. Panchkula MLA Gyan Chand Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula 

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, participated in its 12th North and North-Eastern Region Sports and Cultural Meet at Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyashram, Bharwari-Kaushambi. The school won the overall runner’s up trophy with 11 medals and four trophies in both fields. Aayushi became the athlete of the event in which 80 athletes from as many as nine states participated. Kishnika Dhawan bagged the first prize in creative writing; Khushi and Samridhi won the second prize in yoga and Varshini got the third prize in folk dance competition.

Saint Soldier 

Class-VIII students of St Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, participated in a special assembly on ‘United India’. Skit, dances showcasing the states of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan were the highlights of the day. 

AKSIPS-125 

AKSIPS-125 Smart School, Kharar, celebrated Gurpurb with fervour. Students of Class II participated in shabad recitation, infusing a feeling of humanity and brotherhood. 

AKSIPS-41

Students from the US visited AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh, under the students exchange programme. They were welcomed in a traditional way. They interacted with Aksipians and played a friendly basketball match with the school boys. 

Mount Litera 

Mount Litera Zee School, Panchkula, celebrated Gurpurb with fervour. Speeches, poetry recitation and presentations on the life history and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev were the highlights of the day. 

APJ Smart School

APJ Smart School organised Sukhmani Sahib paath and shabad kirtan to mark Gurpurb. Principal Jasvir Chander, Anju Chander, President, Municipal Council, Kharar, all staff members and students paid their obeisance before Guru Granth Sahib. A plantation drive was also held on the occasion.

St Anne’s School

The school organised its annual day "Odyssey to Consonance-2018". Students of Classes VI to XII enthralled the audience by presenting a colourful programme. Class X students enacted the play 'The Awakening', which received a thunderous applause. 

Gian Jyoti 

Students of Gian Jyoti Global School, Mohali, participated in turban tying and group kirtan competition held at Gurdwara Shri Harcharan Kamal Sahib, Phase X, Mohali. Arshpreet Singh and Sukhpreet Singh of Class XII bagged the second position and the third position in turban-tying competition, respectively. Cash, medals and certificates were awarded to the winners. 

Moti Ram 

A plethora of activities were held at Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27-A, Chandigarh. Rich tributes were paid to founder-president Hardayal Mahajan. Competitions such as flower making, splash of colours, paper folding and tearing, drawing, computer fest and fancy dress were held.
