The Gurukul, Panchkula, celebrated Grandparents’ Day.  Students of primary section invited their grandparents to the school. Tiny tots took part in various activities, including singing, dancing and enacted a play as well. Principal Harsimran Kaur said, “Our elders are the backbone of social set up. With events like this, The Gurukul, tries to imbibe right values and strengthens among the students.”

Satluj Public–2, Panchkula

The World Rivers Day was celebrated in Satluj Public School, Sector 2, Panchkula.  Students of Class III held a special assembly on the occasion. Students were made aware about the importance of rivers. Students participated in mime, skit, song and dance events to send ‘Save Rivers’ message among their counterparts.

Aanchal International, Chandigarh

Tiny tots of Aanchal International School celebrated Green Day with great zeal. The little ones and their teachers came to school in green attire. The classrooms were also decorated with green colour. The students were taught how to identify green fruits, vegetables, leaves and trees.

Students of Vidya Valley School celebrated World Tourism Day. A special assembly was held in which students were informed about significance of tourism and how it generates employment. Chairman Jaspal Singh, deputy director Simmerpreet Singh and Principal Dr Suman Lata appreciated the efforts of staff and of the students. 

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

Birla Tmt Steel awarded the “Teachers Excellence Awards 2019” to Gulshan Kaur, Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, for her service in the field of education. Anita Ranjan , coordinator of the school, was awarded the ‘All Rounder Teacher’ trophy, a certificate and a silver coin.

St Xavier’s High School, Panchkula

An inter-house powerpoint presentation event was organided for Classes VII-IX  students at St Xavier’s High School, Panchkula. The topic was “Role of social media in our personal life”. Principal George S Shear advised the students to keep themselves away and not to get addicted to the social media.
