Patiala, August 19

To mark World Photography Day and Sadhbhavna Diwas, students of Police DAV Public School, Patiala, participated in a special assembly conducted by Zinnia House  today. Photographs clicked by students on different occasions were put on display. Various other photos related to previous years and visits of eminent personalities to the school were also put up for the children. Avinash of Class VII delivered a speech telling the importance of the day. August 20 is also observed as Sadbhavna Diwas in the memory of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, whose birth anniversary falls on this day. Sukhpal Singh of Class VII spoke in this regard. He highlighted the importance of peace in today’s scenario and the contribution of the late Rajiv Gandhi to the uplift of the country.

School principal MeenaThapar applauded efforts of the students and the staff to make the event a success. She encouraged the students to shed their inhibitions and nurture their talents.
