Schools observe black day

Patiala: To protest against the government policies, Patiala Sahodaya School Complex, comprising of 51 CBSE-affiliated schools in and around Patiala, came together in support of the call given by the National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA) and observed Thursday as Black Day.

Patiala, October 12

To protest against the government policies, Patiala Sahodaya School Complex, comprising of 51 CBSE-affiliated schools in and around Patiala, came together in support of the call given by the National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA) and observed Thursday as Black Day. The schools participated in a peaceful protest against the excessive government interference in the day-to-day functioning of the schools. All teaching and non-teaching staff members were black ribbons on their left arm to express their concern.  DAV Public School, Bhupindra Road, too joined Patiala Sahodaya School Complex in the nation-wide protest. — TNS
