Chandigarh: Minerva Academy continued its winning run as they beat MSP Higher Secondary School, Malappuram, 2-1 to book a place in the boys’ junior semifinals at the RFYS National Championship in Mumbai on Tuesday. The side will play Gangadharpur Vidyamandir, Kolkata, for a place in final. Hockey trials today
Chandigarh: The UT Education Department will organise trials to select boys’ U-17 hockey team for the inaugural Khelo India School Games, at the Sector 42 Sports Complex tomorrow. The trial will begin at 2.30pm, the education Department said here on Tuesday. Players born on or after January 1, 2001, and enrolled with the local schools will be eligible to appear in the trials, the department added. Khelo India School Games are scheduled to be held in New Delhi from January 31. — TNS
