SD College, Sector 32, would start MBA course soon. Addressing a press conference today, principal Dr Bhushan Kumar Sharma confirmed it.
There would be 60 seats and the college would rely on CAT score. The college has been posting the highest cut-off for admissions to BCom every year.
At present the building where MBA would be started is under construction.
Sharma further said that as many as 11 students of the college had got calls from various IIMs following the CAT results of 2018; with three students having received call from the prestigious IIM, Ahmedabad.
A student, Pramod Beri, has secured 100 percentile. "Only three students of non-engineering background have secured a 100 percentile this year and our student Pramod is one of them," said Sharma.
The college management has announced scholarships for the students who have received calls from any IIM. "We are offering scholarship of Rs 21,000 to Pramod Beri who has scored 100 percentile and Rs 10,000 each to students who will get admission to any IIM of the country," shared Upkar Krishan Sharma, President, SD College Society.
"At SD College, we are committed to providing a stimulating learning environment to students and extend every possible help and guidance to motivate them. All students preparing for various competitive examinations are motivated and apprised from time to time about the deadlines of these exams. We also offer coaching for various competitive exams on regular basis," added Sharma while sharing that a leave of 10 days was granted to these students nearing the final date of the examination.
