Second round for admission to engg colleges starts today

The second round of counselling for admission to engineering colleges in the city through the Joint Action Committee (JAC) will start tomorrow.
The second round for seat allotment will be held on July 13.
The submission of online fee and willingness to participate in subsequent rounds will be from July 13 to July 16 till 5 pm.
The Joint Action Committee (JAC)-2019 has been constituted for conducting admission to the Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (Degree Wing), Sector 26, Chandigarh College of Architecture, Sector 12, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, and Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Panjab University.
The all-India rank given by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2019 is the ground for admission to BE/Integrated BE (Chemical)-MBA by the Joint Action Committee.
For admission to BArch, the all-India rank by the NTA on the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2019, Paper II (BArchitecture / BPlanning) is used.
Total seats available at colleges under the Joint Action Committee are 1,431 — 276 in the Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology; 40 in the Chandigarh College of Architecture; 264 at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre (PUSSG) Regional Centre; 190 at Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Panjab University; and 661 at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University.
