Chandigarh, October 6
The NSS unit of GGDSD College, Sector 32, here, concluded its seven-day NSS camp ‘Swacch Bharat Swasth Bharat’ successfully. Dr Navdeep Sharma, NSS coordinator, Panjab University, was the chief guest. The programme started with a floral welcome given to the chief guest.
Later, students presented their cultural performances. A street play on the theme ‘Swacch Bharat’ was presented by NSS volunteers which highlighted the importance of cleanliness in surroundings. There was a descriptive PPT along with a report of activities held in the six days. Students also shared their experience and memories of the camp.
Dr Navdeep inspired them by her motivational words and highlighted the importance of the NSS as a platform for maintaining overall harmony and providing necessary social services to society.
Meanwhile, a seven-day NSS camp at the PGGCG-42 also concluded today. College principal Prof Binu Dogra congratulated the 200 participants for successful completion of the camp and motivated them to continue working for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. State Liaison Officer Bikram Rana, who was the chief guest for the day, encouraged the volunteers to work towards the cause and spread the message of cleanliness. Priyanka Rana was declared ‘head of the camp’ and Chahat Sharma ‘best volunteer’. — TNS
