CHANDIGARH:Shreya Chauhan, a student of Saupin’s School, Panchkula, has topped the tricity in the ICSE Class X examinations with 98 per cent marks.

Shreya Chauhan, a student of Saupin’s School, Panchkula, has topped the tricity in the ICSE Class X examinations with 98 per cent marks. The results were declared today. Shreya says she has exceeded her expectations as she was aiming at 97 per cent. Last year, Shivam Goyal of Little Flower Convent School, Panchkula, had topped with 98.4 per cent marks.

The second rank has been bagged by Adit Jindal of Strawberry Fields High School with 97.6 per cent marks. The third rank has been shared by four students — Ishan Singh of Strawberry Fields, Srijan Aggarwal of St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, Amanjot Singh Dhiman of the YPS, Mohali, and Charu Gupta of Little Flower Convent School, Panchkula. All four got 97.4 per cent marks.

Shreya says she remained off the social media and worked hard throughout the year. Her stress buster was her guitar, which she continued to play in her exams as well. Her father is a businessman and mother a homemaker, who says they had not expected that she would be the tricity topper. Adit Jindal has been a state-level swimmer and musician. He can play multiple instruments, including the piano and guitar. While both his parents are doctors, Adit plans to opt for non-medical. Ishan does not believe in studying throughout the year, but slogging in the exams. His father is a Professor at the Indian School of Business in Mohali while his mother is a lawyer. Srijan loves sports and vacationing. His father is in the medical line while his mother is an English teacher.

Amanjot loves football and passes his time by playing video games. His father is a businessman while his mother is a homemaker. Charu attributes her success to her hard work as well as that of her teachers. Her father runs a consultancy firm while her mother is a teacher.
