Snag delays Shatabdi
Chandigarh, January 10
Passengers travelling by the morning Shatabdi Express to Delhi were left stranded after it developed a snag near Panipat.
The train got late by two and a half hours and reached the destination around noon. As a result, some passengers missed out on their important meetings. “I had an appointment at the embassy, but failed to make it on time,” said Gaurav, who was travelling to Delhi.
The railway authorities said the train got late due to a technical snag. Similarly, the Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi Express arrived after a delay of 40 minutes. The Kalka-Howrah Mail was delayed by 16 hours and 45 minutes. The Ajmer-Chandigarh Express was also delayed by one hour and 15 minutes. — TNS
