Sports meet held at PU

Chandigarh, March 9

Mata Gujri Hall Girls Hostel No. 1, Panjab University, organised its annual sports meet wherein various events were held for residents, staff and mess/canteen workers.

Competitions such as badminton, three-legged race, tug of war, skipping rope, musical chair, shot put and discus throw were held.

In badminton, Anushtha and Saganpreet bagged the first and second prize. In skipping rope, Saganpreet and Parul were declared first and second. In three-legged race, Agampreet and Jasleen came first. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
