St Anne’s beat St Stephen’s in Alberta Memorial final

Chandigarh, November 16

Hosts St Anne’s School, Sector 32, defeated St Stephen’s School, Sector 45, by 24 runs in the final to win the 14th Sister Alberta Memorial U-14 Cricket Tournament here today.

Batting first, the hosts propelled by Sourish’s 58-run knock made 130/5 in 20 overs. Ritik Sandhu scored a brisk 32, while Harshit added 24 runs to St Anne’s total. 

Kushal was the most effective bowler for St Stephen’s, claiming 2/22.

Needing to score 6.55 runs per over for victory, St Stephen’s could only manage 106/8 in the stipulated overs. Sarthak made 36, while Karanveer contributed 26 runs to the chase. 

Ritik Sandhu bagged 3/18 for St Anne’s School. 

Sandhu was later adjudged Man of the Match. He also received the Best Bowler award. Karanvir Diwan was named the Best All-rounder, while Harshit Suri got the Best Wicketkeeper award.
