To equip students with practical knowledge of functions of the Postal Department, the kindergarten wing of St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, visited post office. Students were shown various counters, inland letters, postcards and stamps at the post office. They were also apprised about the process of  segregation and dispatching letters and clearance of letter box. TNS

Mount Carmel School

A special assembly was held by students of KG (B) for their parents on the topic “Unity peace and happiness” at Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh. The programme started with screening of an educational movie on effective parenting followed by a welcome speech and  prayer. Students presented songs and dance on the occasion. To show gratitude to their parents, tiny tots gave them cards, which were made by them. The programme concluded with singing of the National Anthem. TNS

Saint Soldier Int’l School

Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, conducted various activities for Classes pre-nursery to XII. Students of Class V participated in diya and candle decoration competition. Shanoor from class V-C, Purvi from class V-B and Ranveer from class V-C got first, second and third positions, respectively, in the competition. Students from Classes VI to XII exhibited their creativity and talent to the best by taking part in rangoli making competition. In poster making competition on Green Diwali Manjot from class VII-B and Namrta from class VII-B bagged first position. Tanu from class VII-C and Sachin from class VIII-C got second position while Tanvi and Nidhi from class VI-B stood third, respectively. TNS
