St Soldier International School, Sector 28, Chandigarh, conducted a special orientation programme for parents of students of Classes IX and X. Through PowerPoint presentations, the parents were briefed about the remodeled structure of assessment introduced by the CBSE. The orientation programme concluded with queries raised by the parents that were duly answered by the teachers.

Delhi Public School

A summer robotics camp concluded at Delhi Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh. It was a great experience for children from Classes V to VIII. Children had great fun and had hands on experience while creating robots and machinery with the kits provided to them.

Small Wonders, Mohali

Small Wonders School, Mohali, celebrated Parenthood Day. Students were told about the importance of parents in one’s life. Gurfateh, a student of LKG, presented a welcome speech. Other students also presented colourful activities. Principal Hardeep Kaur Nama said the role of parents in the overall development of children was important.

Golden Bells Public School

Golden Bells Public School, Sector 77, Mohali, got first position in the maiden Senior Federation Cup Rokit Ball Championship organised by the Delhi Rokit Ball Association held at Delhi. 14 states participated in the tournament. Two players of the team — Malkeet and Meet — got Best Players award.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, Parliamentary Debate Championship 5.0 concluded with a final debate between Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh Team 4, and Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, Team 6. The final debate witnessed extensive opinions from the finalists. The Bhavan Vidyalaya team comprising Vishar Malik, Prabhav and Armaan was declared the winner. Paramveer Walia was declared the Best Speaker while Manpreet Singh Juneja was declared the Best Adjudicator. Justice GC Garg (retd) awarded the winners.

Gurukul Global, Mani Majra

A story-telling session was organised for students of Gurukul Global School, Mani Majra, from KG till Class IV. Resource person Shikha conducted the session wherein the students got actively involved and had lot of fun listening to the stories. The students were also guided to read story books and develop the habit of reading.

DC Montessori

DC Montessori Senior Secondary Smart School, Mani Majra, conducted a healthy tiffin competition for students of kindergarten and Class I and II. The students gave presentation and enumerated the health benefits of the food they brought. The winners of the competition were Muraad, Gauri, Ojasvi, Ananya, Kavyansh, Kannav, Tanmay and Derek.

Mind Tree School, Kharar

An inter-house English extempore Competition was conducted at Mind Tree School, Kharar, with an aim to foster public speaking skills in children. Students delivered impromptu speeches with gut, courage and confidence. Aakash House bagged the first position followed by Jal House. TNS
