State-of-art camera unveiled at PGI

Chandigarh, October 23

The PGIMER commissioned a new state-of-the-art D-SPECT gamma camera to the already existing nuclear cardiology facility of the nuclear medicine department at Advanced Cardiac Centre here on Tuesday.

Prof Jagat Ram, Director, PGI, unveiled the facility. The equipment will be used in evaluating patients with cardiac diseases. He said such facilities helped cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons to decide the further treatment modality in a better way. — TNS
