Steelmans students return from NASA trip
Patiala, July 15
Steelmans Public School, Channo, organised a study tour for its students to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to enlighten them about tremendous developments that have been achieved in the field of outer space, science and technology.
The students also visited various pavillions on the NASA campus that included shuttle launch simulator, session on microgravity, I-Max 3D space movies, exploration space, rocket garden and robot scouts were a few of them.
Students also got an opportunity to have lunch and interact with astronaut Norm Thagard to gain firsthand information on their memorable experience in the space. The students visited Great Atlantic at Cocoa Beach, Florida and Down Town in Orlando city.
They visited the world-famous Universal Studios, Sea World and Disney Magic in Orlando. They also had a visit to famous memorials of the US, including Lincoln Memorial, National World War II Memorial, US Capitol and the Library of Congress Vietnam veterans and Korean war veterans memorials. Students also visited Niagara Falls. — TNS
