Students exhibit technical skills at zonal-level contest

A zonal-level skill competition to shortlist the participants to represent India in the World Skill Competition to be held in Russia in August this year began at the Indo Swiss Training Centre (ISTC) of Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) here on Wednesday.

Around 200 students from different trades such as mechtronics, industrial control, mobile robotics, polymechanics and automation are participating in the event.

Students who will qualify the zonal-level competition will further participate at the state-level and thereafter at the regional-level and national-level competitions. State-of-the-art facilities will be made available by the CSIO for the competition.

The event is being organised by the Chandigarh Skill Development Mission which has selected the ISTC as a partner to conduct this competition.
