Students told about creativity in entrepreneurship

An expert lecture on `Entrepreneurship and New Venture’ was organised by the University School of Management Studies, Rayat Bahra University, at the university auditorium today.
This was a part of the series of expert lectures being conducted every semester by the university to help students develop entrepreneurial mindset.
The lecture was delivered by Dr Robert D Hisrich, associate dean for graduate and international programmess and Bridgestone Chair of International Marketing.
In his talk, Dr Hisrich highlighted how one can unlock his creativity in entrepreneurship. He emphasised on idea inventor and invention as the basics of a new venture. He informed the students that along with unique selling proposition, market assessment and opportunity assessment were also required in starting a new venture. He also discussed various aspects of a business plan along with alternative sources of funding. Dr Hisrich gave insights about academic entrepreneurship too.
Gurvider Singh Bahra, Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions, welcomed Dr Hisrich and emphasised that such lectures were a step towards achieving the dream of self-dependent and skilled India. Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Raj Singh, other dignitaries and students were among those others who attended the lecture.
The expert lecture ended with a vote of thanks by Dr OP Midha, registrar of the university. — TNS
