Mumbai-based Sufi singers Ali Mohammad-Gani Mohammad and troupe, including Sa Re Ga Ma - 2006 Little Champion Sameer Mohammad, brought alive the mysticism of celebrated Sufi saints in a special concert ‘Rangreza’ organised by the Sufi Foundation International at Tagore Theatre here today.

The Ali-Gani group regaled the audience with didactic utterances of Sufi mystics, including Amir Khusro, Kabir, Farid Bulleh Shah and others. They were at their best with Sufiana renditions of Mann kunto maula, Allah hoo, Mein ramta jogi, Soorat pe balihari, Tere ishaq nachaya, Chhap tilak and more duly embellished with kalams of other Sufi saints.

Their gayaki presentation was weaved in classical and Rajasthani folk ‘Mand’ tradition as also a blend of tradition and modernity. Former founder Dr AA Siddiqui IPS and DGP SK Sharma honoured the artistes.
