Suhani wins squash title
Chandigarh, June 30
Suhani Sharma won the girls’ U-13 title by defeating Tara on the concluding day of the Chandigarh State Squash Championship today. Taleisha Handiwal finished third in the event.
Sehar Nayar claimed the girls’ U-11 title, while Mannat Singh finished second and Mehmat Nayar claimed the third position. In the girls’ U-17 category, Khushi Sharma, Shilpi Kumari and Parul Verma claimed the top three positions, respectively. Anjali Devi, Anjali Kumari and Sonlai claimed the top three positions in the girls’ U-19 category, respectively. Priya Gupta won the women’s title by defeating Khushi Sharma, while Amisha finished third. Savir, Rudra and Arjun Naga were the top three finishers in the boys’ U-13 event. In the boys’ U-15 category, Prithvi Yadav, Shubham Gautam and Piyush won the top three honours. Abhilesh Kumar defeated Ishan Nayar to claim the U-17 title, while Anand Gupta claimed the third position. In the boys’ U-19 category, Prithvi, Shivam Gulati and Abhishek Kumar claimed the top three positions, respectively. Inderjeet Singh, Yashvir Singh Hooda and Siddharth Phutela were the top three finishers of the men’s category. —TNS
