Tere Sur, Mere Geet: Amateur singers croon at musical evening

Chandigarh, July 15

The 10th edition of the annual Bollywood musical bonanza 'Tere Sur Mere Geet’ was presented by Paranav Entertainers at Tagore Theatre here on Sunday. As many as 40 amateur singers, including senior bureaucrats, doctors, students and others from the region presented over 50 songs during the event.

The highlight of the evening remained soulful song ‘Pag ghungroo baandh...’ by Ram Niwas, IAS, songs by bureaucrat couple Dr SS Parsad and Ranju Parsad, the invincible Roshal Lal, Sanjiv Kalra, IPS, Jagdeep Dhanda and others.

Besides, enthralling performances came from Ram Tirath, Dr Pradeep Bhardwaj, Piyousha Mitra, Ramesh Dhiman, Sanchita Chakraborty,Manju Arora,Divya Bhatt, Vaishnavi, Amarpalli, Sangita Ganeshan and others. GS Lovely and Vinod conducted supporting orchestra.

Earlier, programme director Manmohan Lakhera welcomed the chief guest, Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana, who blessed the artistes on the occasion.
