The British School, Chandigarh

An elocution competition on topics "Visit to Zoo and My Earth" was held for students of Class I at The British School, Chandigarh. Students were judged on various parameters such as fluency, content, presentation and imaginative expression.

AKSIPS-45

Little creators of pre-primary wing showcased their talent in the form of innovative projects and models. They represented various concepts of numbers and vocabulary through their projects. Later, the tiny tots were excited to place and check their models in the exhibition.

GMSSS-26

Yoga Day was celebrated at GMSSS, Sector 26 (TM), Chandigarh. Teachers and students participated in it. They did different asanas and learnt how yoga leads to happy and stress-free life.

GMSSS-20

A state-level NSS adventure programme was organised at Manali under the chairmanship of state NSS Cell, Chandigarh. As many as 45 students of GMSSS, Sector 20, and three programme officers attended this 10-day camp. The main focus of the camp was on social responsibilities through exposing the students to various national themes such as Swatchh Bharat and inculcating a spirit of adventure etc.

St Joseph’s

A group of Josephians witnessed the launch of plantation drive and the inauguration of Paudh Mela by Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher at St Joseph's Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, Chandigarh. The event was organised by the Department of Forest and Wildlife, Chandigarh. Students got to see the varied species of herbal and medicinal plants displayed at the stalls. Kirron Kher distributed free saplings to the students.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, hosted a direct dialogue 'Sarkar Se Samvad' between the Haryana Finance Minister, Captain Abhimanyu Singh, and students. The topic of the discussion was the report card of 3.5 years working of the BJP government in Haryana. Around 400 students participated in the event. Various journalists were also a part of this dialogue.

Gurukul School

Vihaan Chaudhary, a five-year-old student of Gurukul School, Panchkula, has been selected amongst competing kid models from across the country, for a prestigious global shoot of renowned banking brand - American Express.

Satluj Public School

The Satluj Group of Schools, Panchkula, is honoured as a 'Great Place to Study' by the GPTS, one of the world's foremost certifications for institutions imparting quality education. The certification was awarded at the House of Commons, Westminster Palace, London, United Kingdom, in the presence of chairperson of European External Affairs Committee and Member House of Lords, Baroness Verma. Satluj is the only school in the tricity to have received this honour. TNS
