Three women among 5 held for immoral trafficking

The Patiala police have registered a case against six persons, including three women for immoral trafficking.

The suspects have been identified as Surjeet Kaur of Rishi Colony, Balvir Kaur of Samana, Simranjit Kaur of Pratap Nagar, Suraj Bali, Bunty of Ablowal and Kuldeep Chaudhry of Ekta Vihar in Patiala.

The police have arrested all the suspects but Surjit Kaur.

Urban Estate SHOHarry Boparai said the police received information about the illegal activities being carried out at the house of Surjit Kaur. A police team raided the place and nabbed Balvir Kaur, Simranjit Kaur, Suraj Bali, Bunty and Kuldeep Chaudhry.

A case under Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act has been registered against the suspects.

The SHO said the three men identified as Bunty, Kuldeep and Suraj were their clients. He said the suspects would be produced in a court. The cop said meanwhile, search operations were going on to nab the sixth suspect.
