Acting on a complaint lodged by Amarjeet Kaur, a resident of Zirakpur, the city police today booked a Panchkula resident, Rajiv Dutta, for duping people on the pretext of sending them abroad on cheap holiday packages.

The police sources said the victim, Amarjeet Kaur, in her complaint to the police had alleged that Rajiv Dutta, who had been running a travel agency HD fashion and travel at Zirakpur, had lured her for sending abroad on a holiday package. The accused neither confirmed the bookings nor return the money. The police have also received 18 complaints against the accused. —OC
