CHANDIGARH: Trishubh blanked Aarush 6-0 to move into the boys’ U-12 main draw on the opening day of the Panjab University Tricity Junior Tennis Tournament, which is being organised to mark the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev, here on Saturday.

Chandigarh, June 29 

Trishubh blanked Aarush 6-0 to move into the boys’ U-12 main draw on the opening day of the Panjab University Tricity Junior Tennis Tournament, which is being organised to mark the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev, here on Saturday.

Dev Pratap Sandhu was awarded walkover against Akhil Beniwal, while Anav Grover overcame Tashi Negi 6-3. Gaurish Madaan registered an identical win over Vinay Yadav. 

Shrihan Kohli downed Saket Gupta 6-3 and Devansh Prajuli defeated Pragun Thakur 6-2 to move into the next round. Akshit Ratti drubbed Diptangshu Swami 6-1, while Harwin Singh tamed Aaditya Jain 6-2.

 In the boys’ U-14 competition, Anshu Rajpal moved into the main draw after beating Aryan Tomar 6-3. Harwin Singh overcame Vishal Kumar 6-5(4), while Shriyan Kohli blanked Arshmehar 6-0. Jenish registered an identical win over Yash Bhati. 

Keshav Singh humbled Arpit Singh Dhull 6-3, while Gurnavnavraj dismissed Arin Jain 6-1. Samarpit Bhatia got the better of Manav Malik and Pragun Thakur defeated Sammer Tyagi 6-2.
