UILS team wins 12th BR Sawhney National Moot Court Competition

The team of the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, won the 12th BR Sawhney National Moot Court Competition held at the Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad.
Karanbir Singh, Zaheen Kaur and Jaspinder Singh were part of the wining team. The competition was held from October 12 to October 15. Zaheen also won the Best Advocate award.
Being a Tier-4 moot, it will add points of the UILS to the Mooting Premier League Rankings. The UILS will be ranked in the top five institutions on the basis of mooting in India.
The BR Sawhny National Moot Court Competition is one of the best constitutional law moot court contests.
The team of Rivisha, Hemlata, Nandita and Ankur Goyat won the Best Team award at the SVKM Trial, Nyayavalokan 2018 - 9th National Trial Advocacy and Judgment Writing Competition.
Nandita bagged the Best Judgment prize. The SVKM is the best national trial advocacy competition.
The team of Shivdev Sharma, Vidul Kapoor and Divanshu Aggarwal was the first runners-up at the 8th FYLC Ranka National Moot Court Competition, 2018, held at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Vidul bagged the Best Speaker award.
The team of Jiya Garg, Geetanshu and Kinshuk Thaman participated in the Amity National Paperless Moot, 2018 and Kinshuk won the Best Researcher award.
Prof Rattan Singh, director, UILS, and Dr Jaimala, faculty in-charge, Moot Court Society, congratulated the teams.
