The UT Administration has fixed Rs 2.50 per sq ft scrutiny fee for the approval of new building plans of residential properties under the self-certification scheme.
The Administration has also fixed the fees and charges in the notification of the self-certification scheme for residential properties. For the revised plans, scrutiny charges have been fixed at Rs 1.25 per sq ft.
After commercial properties, the Chandigarh Administration has extended the self-certification scheme for the approval of building plans of residential properties also. With the notification of the scheme, owners of plots up to 2 kanal can start construction of houses within 15 days of submitting the plans certified by registered architects.
The residents will also have to pay security charges of Rs 5,000 for commercial booths and Rs 10,000 for residential and industrial buildings up to 2 kanal. Security charges are refundable, while scrutiny charges are non-refundable.
