Woman hangs self to death

Mohali: A 24-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her rented accommodation in Sector 57 here on Tuesday. She has been identified as Shivani, a resident of Chadmari village in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. She worked in the private sector and was residing with her friend. Her relatives alleged that she was being harassed by her friend, which forced her to take the extreme step. The police have registered a case. TNS 

3 held with narcotics 

Chandigarh:  Three persons were arrested by the police from different parts of the city under the NDPS Act. According to the police, Sahil, a resident of Sector 22, was arrested from near his house with 46 banned injections and 6 gm of heroin. In another case, the police arrested Manoj, a resident of New Indira Colony (NIC), Mani Majra, with 800 gm of ganja. He was arrested from near Indira flats, NIC. In the third case, the police arrested Sonu, a resident of Dadu Majra Colony. He was arrested from near a taxi stand with 24 banned injections. The police have registered cases. TNS
