Members of YPS cycling, bird watching and photography clubs went on a sojourn to Jayanti Majri to mark the 40th Founder’s Day of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali. Members of the cycling club cycled on an 8-km picturesque path in Jayanti Majri. Around 22 bird species, including white-crested kingfisher, black drongo, plum-headed parakeet, hornbill, bush cat and egret were spotted on the occasion.
DAV, Panchkula
Students of Classes VII and VIII were briefed about the role of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in the freedom struggle at an event organised at DAV Public School, Panchkula. MLA Gyan Chand Gupta, MM Juneja, a historian, were also present on the occasion.
Ashmah International, Mohali
Students of Ashmah International School, Sector 70, received degrees in a graduation ceremony. The function began with the lighting of the lamp by Chairman AS Kesar. This was followed by a formal ceremony wherein the students were given diplomas. Thereafter, a qawwali depicting that learning never ends was presented.
St Soldier, Mohali
St Soldier International Convent School, Phase VII, organised graduation ceremony. The programme began with a welcome song. After the lamp-lighting ceremony, Saraswati Vandana was presented by Diya of KG-B. A skit on Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan was applauded by one and all. Parents and teachers cheered the students as they walked on stage and were honoured with certificates by the chief guest.
The Knowledge Bus, Mohali
A baby show was organised at The Knowledge Bus Global School, New Sunny Enclave, Kharar. Students showcased their talent in a plethora of activities such as most active baby, confident child, beautiful smile, sparkling eyes baby, best dressed baby, curliest hair and chubby cheeks.
Kids ‘R’ Kids, Chandigarh
Kids ‘R’ Kids School, Sector 42-C, organised an induction programme for new students. The programme began with a welcome song by Class V students. Director-Principal Anupam Grewal shared a video on the importance of togetherness, which was followed by a glimpse into the school’s curriculum. The highlight of the programme was the portrayal of a word, ‘silhouette’, through a shadow and light play and an art activity.
