Chudiyala turned into fortress for Cabinet meet

The small and silent village of Chudiyala in Bhagwanpur block turned into a fortress in view of the state Cabinet meeting held here today.

To ensure law and order as well as a hassle-free meeting, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Haridwar, Sweety Aggarwal camped at the village since yesterday.

Aggarwal inspected areas in and near Chudiyala, giving necessary directives to the subordinates.

To thwart any disruption, two heavily armed guard units and four Provincial Armed Constabulary companies were deployed at the venue, along with sniffer dog, bomb disposal and tear gas disperse squads

The SSP said a total of 12 SHOs were pitched in for the meeting duty, along with 50 sub inspectors, 345 constables and 25 head constables.

“Vehicles were frisked since yesterday and CCTV cameras were also installed to ensure fool proof security cover. Round-the-clock monitoring of the whole proceeding was done by police officials and it was ensured that no traffic jam or congestion took place on the routes leading to Chudiyala,” she said.

Nodal police in charge for the Cabinet meeting, SP Pramendra Dobhal, SP, city, Dr Surjeet Pawar and all circle officers monitored the security and traffic arrangements for the Cabinet meeting.
