Farmers were also able to buy seeds of Punjab 89, Matar Ageta 7 and AP 3 of pea, and Punjab Naroa and PRO 6 of onion during the mela.
“Punjab Black Beauty, a black carrot variety, is suitable for juice and salad purpose. It is a rich source of iron and anthocyanins and helps in combating several diseases,” said Dr Dhillon.
