10 scouts to get Prez award

Ten scouts from the state will get the President’s Award during the national-level award rally of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Association at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on December 8.

District Scouts and Guides official Devki Nandan said out of the 10 scouts from the state, six were from Mandi and the remaining four from Kullu district.

The scouts include Kiran Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Sohan Lal, Rajender Kumar, Hem Raj and Pinku from Mandi and Narender Singh, Suryakant, Ashutosh and Ravi Verma from Kullu district. Preparations for the award ceremony would start at Gadhpuri in Palwal from December 5, he said.

Nandan said the students had worked hard for five years and cleared different stages of the scouts and guides.
