20 film artistes attend training workshop in Doon

Dehradun, March 23
As many as 20 artistes, selected after rigorous auditions for a film based on the life of electricity linemen, are attending a training workshop under the banner of Pancham Ved creations at Dehradun.
The film, titled “Angry lineman”, is based on the lives of linemen of the Electricity Department who risk their lives to provide
services to the consumers. Around 33 per cent of the film would be shot in the state.
Eminent actors from the National School of Drama and Bollywood would impart training to the 20 artistes in the workshop, being held at Indian School of Talent Institute at Dehradun, for the next 4-5 days. Officials from the Electricity Department would also apprise the artistes about the intricacies involved in their work so that the actors were able to depict it on screen with effective emotions.
Short film cinematographer Mateusz Golebiwski from Poland, who is here on a location hunt, would assist the producers on the film. He said the subject selected for the film was indeed interesting and powerful.
The writer, associate producer and lead actor in the film, Dev Sareswar, said the film would deal with problems faced by the linemen on daily basis.
He said another objective of the film was to make people aware about the rules and guidelines under the Electricity Act.
Bollywood director Dr Aishan Baksh gave necessary tips to the artistes during the workshop and said hard work was an investment which never failed. He praised the talent available in Dehradun and said he was looking forward to select local artistes for his next venture.
Actors from Mumbai Radha Bhardwaj, Pankaj Garg and Vijay Rajvanshi, director of the film Anurag Verma and general secretary, DAV PG College, Sachin Thapliyal were present at the occasion.
