24 swipe machines put up at Dappar toll plaza

As many as 24 swipe machines have been installed at the Dappar toll plaza near Lalru in order to help commuters make payments and facilitate easy flow of traffic when the NHAI resumes toll collection following midnight.

As per the information from the NHAI authorities, commuters will not be able to use old Rs 500 notes at the toll plaza for making payments below Rs 200 from December 2.

The authorities said old Rs 500 notes would be accepted till the midnight of December 15, but this would only be for purchasing FASTags and for making toll payments of more than Rs 200.

Deepak Arora, Corporate Relation Officer, said the toll plaza has been equipped with adequate number of swipe machines for accepting payments using credit or debit cards. Toll fee can also be paid through electronic wallets.

“For making cash 

payments, highway users are being requested to carry adequate change with them to avoid delay,” he said.
