72nd foundation day: UCO bank adopts Rania village

Darshan Singh Shivalik, called upon office-bearers and activists of social and constitutional organisations to serve as a bridge between nationalised banks and beneficiaries of various schemes being launched by the government.
Addressing a function organised by Alamgir branch of United Commercial Bank to observe 72nd Foundation day of the organisation at Rania village today, Shivalik appreciated that nationalised banks had been playing active role in improving lifestyle of lower members of rural society by providing them loans on liberalised terms.
“But the beneficiaries should contact officials of the banks directly instead of falling prey to self-styled agents,” said Shivalik.
Speakers including deputy general manager UC Sharma, branch manager Jagjit Singh, assistant manager Sahil Gupta, zila parishad member Paramjit Singh Neetu, sarpanch Rania Narinder Jit Singh and Ravinder Singh Sangowal, member, block samiti, elaborated various schemes launched by the government in association by nationalised bank including UCO Bank.
The bank announced to adopt Rania village for development of members of BPL families and providing facilities to students of government school of the village.
