City-based music maestro Subhash Ghosh delivered an enthralling spell of classical recital on swar ragini in a concert organised by the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi (CSNA) at Tagore Theatre here today. Subhash Ghosh, a foremost disciple of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, has created two musical instruments sarasvani and swar ragini by making changes in a Hawain guitar.
Ghosh commenced the recital with an alaap and jod alaap of the Raga Bageshwari. He presented a fast-paced composition in jhaptal followed by a medium laya gat in teental besides two compositions in fast pace (dhrut laya) set to ektal and teental. He presented soulful kaushiki dhun before concluding the recital with a jazz fusion gat.
Ghosh gave adequate opportunity to Mehmood Khan and Avirbhav Verma on Tablas by engaging them in entrancing Jugalbandis. Manish Kumar and Abha Rana also accompanied him. Anurag Aggarwal, Secretary, Home and Culture, was the chief guest.
