“Naukri police ki aur dil sahityakar ka” is the veritable summation of an absorbing  interactive session with supercop-poet Tajendra Singh Luthra, Inspector General of Police, Chandigarh, at the UT guest house today.

The event, organised by the Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi (CSA), was attended by city literati and senior bureaucrats, who relished 10 creations of the invited poet. His “andaz–e-byan” added an elegance  to the otherwise rich literary  content of his poetry.

A qualified chartered accountant and an IPS officer, Tajendra Luthra is a born poet. Be it the “Assi Ghat Ka Bansuri Wala”, ‘ Jaise Maa Khadi Thi”, ‘ Lohar Ka Derr” , “Pehli Prem Kavita” “Ikehrapan or the ultimate “Shav yatra”, the poet in Tajendra Luthra  defined a fresh idiom of poetry through his depth, range of thought and sensibility.

Sharing his humble literary journey, he disclosed that after his maiden book “Assi Ghat Ka Bansuri Wala’ a new anthology of poems was in the offing. Many prominent personalities, including NS Rattan, a retired IAS office, VK Kapur, a reitred IPS officer, Saravjit Singh (IAS), VK Singh (IAS), Indu Bali and others participated in the interactive session.

 Earlier, CSA vice-chairman Madhav Kaushik introduced the poet and conducted the programme while CSA chairman Gulzar Sandhu honoured the poet.
